We bought a new Jetta TDI, well new to us it's a 2001 and loaded. Leather, sunroof, heated seats, and now has Sirus Satellite Radio I just installed it last week. The car was well taken care of from the detailed maintenance records we received with the car. It's also my favorite color blue.
Well the motor installation went without a hitch. Tamera operated the engine lift and dropped it in the first time. After hashing out a few design ideas we settled and I notched out a semi circle in the motor's cross member then reinforced the bottom. I built the top motor mount that holds the motor in place and will also hold the electric components after I build a flat platform for them to mount on.
I haven't posted much on this project lately. But I have been working on the Opel. I have been painting it in my garage with a roller. I came across a forum thread over how to paint your car with a roller. So wanting to save money on this project I decided to go for it and put that saved cash towards battery s.

The aluminum has come in for the adapter plate on our Opel GT Electric conversion project. We ordered two pieces a 12"x12"x1-1/2" thick and a 18"x18"x7/8" thick. So now we just need to get it machined. I have created a projects area on this site for posting the details and photos of this and other projects.
I found a new site today for all you drupal lovers out there it's drupalmodules.com. It's a great site for finding modules for drupal. You can search for modules for any version of drupal as well as view ratings/reviews something drupal.org has needed for a long time. I will need to setup a page for links on here and add it. Anyone who has worked with drupal knows how hard it can be to find a module for doing what you need and it looks like modules for the new version 6 are starting to pouring out as well. :-)
Well I have finely done it. I've created a personal web site. I have worked on web sites 10+ years and developing them professionally for the last five. Yet I never created one for myself. Why? I don't really know but this is where it all begins.
Not sure what all I'll put on this site but I bet it will fill out nicely.
